AMBER LEW

An exaggeration of time, an exaggeration of physical limits, and an exaggeration of ridiculousness is what I am perpetually exploring. 

BIO 

Amber Lew is currently in her fourth year at Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance. Her training began with studying the Cecchetti method under the direction of Kimberly McEachern where she completed up to her grade ten exam. She then moved to continue her dance training at Marin Dance Theater under the direction of Lynn Cox and Margaret Swarthout, including other instructors Joanna Berman, Adrea Basil, and Ben NeedhamWood. Amber Has worked professionally as an apprentice under Amy Seiwart over the duration of Amy's Sketch 11 project. Other experiences such as summer programs and workshops include, Jacob’s Pillow, Ballet BC, NorthWest Dance Project, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. She has performed works by Jenifer Archibald, Aszure Barton, Ronald K Brown, Norbert De La Cruz III , Amy J Garner, and Joseph Hernendez. Amber is also passionate about composition and choreography, specifically the creative process that comes from her curiosity. She enjoys working with spontaneity and possibility by exploring the humanness of everyday life.
